Common Imagination: The Power of Collaboration in Production Designn

We are delighted to welcome the production designers of *Interior*, *Nepela*, and *What Can Still Be Repaired* among our guests.

At the event, Lore Walter and Olga Gredig (Interior), Brigita Teplanová and Dorota Volfová (Nepela), and Mathilde Ferry (What Can Still Be Repaired) will talk about creating the visual worlds of their films and share insights into the behind-the-scenes work of production design.

The Production Designers Collective (PDC) is one of the world’s largest international professional communities bringing together production designers.

As part of ATAFF 2026, the PDC joins the festival programme with a special professional panel discussion focusing on production designers and the visual worlds of the films presented at the festival.

What tools do production designers use to communicate with directors, other heads of departments, and their own crews? What challenges arise in maintaining clear and consistent communication, and what practices can help improve collaboration between creative teams?

ATAFF, with its commitment to supporting cinema and highlighting the importance of production design, provides an important meeting point for professionals from the film industry.
