I wanted to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude for the invitation to the Alexandre Trauner Art/Film Festival. It was a wonderful experience, and I was happy to be part of this event. The atmosphere was delightful, and the hospitality was truly heartwarming. I felt very good throughout my time at the festival. As a regular visitor, I have enjoyed the hospitality of Szolnok, Tisza Mozi and the Demeter family, as all my previous films have had a screening here, but I have never had such an intense and rich stay. 10 great films, 2 experienced and sharp-eyed jury colleagues, heated debates, and the seemingly impossible undertaking of evaluating the visuals of the films independently of the films as a whole. But we did it, I learnt a lot from this and from the masterclasses Francisco and Joseph gave - two such different careers and visions, yet we decided in unity and agreement. A special thanks to the many student volunteers and the technical staff of the cinema, without whom everything would not have gone so smoothly and so smoothly!

I’d like to thank the organisers of the ATAFF festival for doing such a great job and putting this event together. It’s been a great pleasure to be here in Szolnok. I’ve spent years going to large festivals like Berlin, Toronto and Cannes, but its in these smaller intimate festivals which aren’t part of the movie business but are nonetheless filled with film enthusiasts that one finds the true beating heart of cinema and that makes me optimistic about the future of this medium. This festival, this cinema and the people who run it gives me hope and the resolve to keep working and trying in a world of superheroes, spies and spaceships to keep the flame of European arthouse cinema alive.

Thank you very much for having us at the film festival! We had a very good time and it was very useful for the students too! It was especially good that the film made by the students from different institutions were mixed so they could not only see their own movies on a big screen but also other universities' films as well and they started to network with each other.

ATAFF is a real international event with a familiar atmosphere; it is a real curiosity. The discussions and masterclasses with Jean Rabasse and Peter Webber will stay with me for years. Istvan Demeter and Eva Demeter are great organizers, every day an exhibition, screenings, moderated talks, concerts, receptions or parties took place during ATAFF.
